But I've heard a lot of opinions from many creative people that it's okay to take a break. Creativity is not something that you can force out. So there, I had mine.
Last Saturday I woke up real early and made these simple papercuts cut out of very simple doodles of simple shapes. I realise I've always worked with lots of whites, so this time I added colorful backgrounds even with cutout pages from Elle Decor Magazine (that's the only one I could find at home at that moment; I find it hard to cut up interior/architecture magazines to pieces, but I did it). What I learnt that day was that I work much better in the morning when I have much energy to actually execute whatever it is that I have in mind. Night time doesn't work for me as I can think and think and think and will not actually start doing anything.
At this very moment, I wanna say: Delicate papercuts are too mainstream. There, enjoy my simple, kiddish, neon-bright papercuts of sweet edibles :)
